Even though Geneva is not readily associated to a vibrant food scene, we have been most pleased by our experience in town. The high quality standard of its restaurants serves its international clientele very well, and has sparked a flourish of new eateries, cafés and bars. The diversity is abundant and likely to please most tastes: Thai and other Asian cuisine in the Paquis region, Latin American flavors such as Peruvian ceviches and Brazilian barbecue, Italian influenced Carouge as well as many bistros. And, of course, there are plenty of excellent venues serving the typical Swiss fondue, raclette, rösti and spaetzli, for those who make a point of sampling delicious local food. There are also eclectic international cafés all over town and Happy Hour bars by the lake, adding further to Geneva’s surprisingly lively food scene.

A delightful thin crispy toast with seeds was served right… Read more »

It is a perfect spot for relaxing, enjoying delightful food and people watching between strolls around town. We had some pork ribs cooked… Read more »
This concept store is also present in other cities in Switzerland (we have also been to the branch in Zürich) and is a good venue to eat, shop and chat with locals at communal tables. The one in Geneva is centrally located in a square in the city center and has a coffee house, a seafood bar, a buffet restaurant and a burger place. If… Read more »
