When to
Go
As is the case when we travel to other parts of Switzerland, we tend to prefer seasons at their extremes. The pleasant summers are not as hot as in other places in Southern Europe and you can enjoy an abundance of Lake Geneva activities, from plain vanilla strolls on the promenade to exciting water sports and scenic lake beaches. At wintertime, Geneva is full of people in transit to the many ski resorts nearby, so a few days in the city can be a perfect opportunity to see Geneva in its winter glory. Spring and autumn are chilly, but lovely if you do not mind wearing light coats, and you can profit from seeing the many gardens in blossom or the enchanting falling red leaves in the many parks.
