If you are looking for a 4-star property with a jovial retro cool flair that is close to the center and main attractions, look no further. The Ruby Sofie is outside Ringstrasse yet still only a twenty-minute walk, or five-minute taxi ride, to Stephansplatz. It is also right next to other interesting Vienna sightseeing spots, like the Hundertwasserhaus.  The property is a converted theater and kept its vintage charm, with industrial light fixtures and lots of quirky antique pieces like 60’s loud speakers and leather couches. Some of the common areas include a yoga terrace and meditation room, and they sell organic products in the small coffee shop. The hotel bar is popular with a local clientele. The accommodation is clean, no frills, and is decorated in light tones and wood. If you are noise sensitive, request a room away from the lobby and bar areas. Please note that rooms are quite small. There is a budget room with very attractive prices but only 15m2, so opt for the upgraded categories which only cost a fraction more.
