One of our preferred hotels in town, particularly for those seeking quaint and charming Swiss hospitality. We enjoyed the location, which could not be better, only two blocks away from the river and the lake with its many attractions, such as the Jet D’Eau and the lake’s promenade (we took some energizing early morning exercise amidst this iconic scenario, a truly enjoyable experience). The hotel is stylish with light blue wooden panels, leather sofas and some antique furnishings well blended with modern paintings and pop art. A cozy restaurant and bar serves meals from breakfast to pre-dinner drinks and the terrace is quite pleasant during the warmer months. The staff was particularly attentive and helpful. The rooms are contemporary, elegant and very comfortable, richly decorated in bright colors and fabrics, nice wallpaper and charming bedside lampshades. Bathrooms are not overly spacious, yet meet the basic standards and are well equipped and efficient. The Ladurée chocolates carefully laid on our pillows at turn down service were a lovely touch of hospitality, which left us feeling pleased before soundly sleeping in our large comfortable bed (a plus in Geneva).
