The Eastwest is a trendy hotel with an alluring and sleek décor, just a few blocks from Lake Geneva and its attractions, as well as the elegant shopping area at Rue de Rhône and Vieille Ville (old town). The hotel is both discrete and elegant, with an intimate atmosphere, giving guests a feeling of a stay at a private house. The overall décor is reminiscent of the East, with many shades of red, silky fabrics, candles and other references, like the in-house tastes of Asia restaurant. There are many living room quarters around the property, some which can be booked for private events and celebrations, and we found the terrace with a water wall especially relaxing. Rooms vary a lot in size and layout, but are all comfortable and offer high touch amenities like Nespresso machines and Frette linen. Dark hardwood floors, velvet chairs, leather headboards and modern bathrooms should surely meet your expectations. Avoid the “solo” rooms, however, really quite small, and if possible upgrade to a suite with generous living space, for a more distinct stay. The staff is friendly and courteous.
