The Hotel Pestana Vintage was perfectly located to enjoy Porto’s quintessential Ribeira and a short walk took us to many of the city’s attractions and neighborhoods. We particularly liked the hotel’s bar and outdoor terrace, by the river promenade, overlooking small colorful buildings and the city’s famous iron bridge. The property used to be a 4 star hotel and has been recently upgraded, giving the decor a pleasant and colorful contemporary style. We really loved our room, with views to the Douro, very comfortable beds and pastel colors in carpets and curtains. The bathroom was on the smaller side, however nothing that could compromise our stay. The very good breakfast is served at a restaurant that also serves meals, with delightful terrace tables on the river’s promenade. We found the staff very helpful. Attention: given its location, it might be difficult to reach the hotel by car, as the region has restricted hours and parking is a few blocks away. Taxi service is allowed 24h a day.
