Even though winter is milder than in other European cities, we actually prefer the periods running from September to early November, which are very pleasant months, or from March to June, lovely springtime. If possible, avoid summer when Portugal becomes very hot (even though Porto is in cooler northern region) and gets a large inflow of tourism. We have experienced the city in all different seasons and we really enjoyed them all!
