Camden Town

A neighborhood worth visiting is Camden Town. No longer a secret, since becoming quite popular in recent years, we still find a lot of London visitors miss this typical and emblematic part of town, which was for a long time the epicenter of anything in the vanguard and the rebellious aspect of British culture. As you stroll around Amy Winehouse´s old hang out in North London, you will see a diverse alternative crowd, all types and genres adorned in leather gear, studs, combat boots, unique hairstyles and a lot of piercings and tattoos (you are likely to spot some punks there). The area is also good for shopping, especially the markets. We recommend Stables, the largest one, whose name derives from the great amount of horses in the area in the olden days. Camden Town is also the place to enjoy live music, amidst street buskers or live shows during the day, or in some of the pubs and bars in the evening. Spend some time along Regents Canal and visit Proud Galleries, an old horse hospital that became one of the best-known photography galleries in Europe.
