What a pleasant lunch did we have at the Ivy Chelsea Garden! Certainly, sunny spring days are ideal to enjoy this restaurant, and this was indeed the case. The main rooms follow a garden themed décor, with flowery wall paper and fabrics, and actual potted plants and flowers. If the weather allows, ask for a table on the terrace, in the garden or orangery to enjoy some fresh air. The food was great, we started with delicious prawn tempura and followed with chicken over bread crumbs with capers accompanied by a salad, and grilled steak with bernaise sauce and creamy spinach, beautifully served and delicious. Be careful not to go to the wrong Ivy since they have two addresses in town with similar names, we recommend the one on the King’s Road. It is an all day diner in an upscale yet informal atmosphere, and frequented by locals and a few savvy travelers.
