The Anglesea Arms

We went to the Anglesea Arms on a Monday and were quite surprised with the buzz around it on a weekday. At that moment we understood the reason for its reputation as one of the best pubs in town to have some food, and no wonder the pub calls itself a gastropub. The ales were, of course, as traditional as you could expect at any British pub and we went for the very basic pints of lager. For our meals we started with fries (or chips), and were quite impressed with the neighboring table’s cheeseburgers, salads and the typical fish and chips. The large terrace on the front attracts a local clientele on good weather days. There are fantastic pubs scattered all over London, but if you are in the Kensington neighborhood, we recommend The Anglesea Arms as one of the best options in the region.
