One of the locations we most love in Milan. Next door to Indro Montanelli Park (perfect for exercise and to visit some of its great buildings, such as the Planetarium or the Natural History Museum), walking distance to Brera and Quadrilatero Della Moda, a short taxi drive to Milano Centrale, a ten-minute min walk to Duomo and a few steps farther to La Scala. The area is close to but quieter than the busy Duomo and the hustle and bustle of the surrounding streets. The Senato Hotel´s elegant design is predominantly black, white and gold with modern touches. A charming small garden and an outside patio are lovely for enjoying the very good breakfast on nice weather days. Rooms are comfortable and of acceptable size (triple rooms are a bit tight). The décor is mostly white with parquet floors and curtains that bring warmth to the ambiance. We loved the modern golden lampshades but felt some paintings or drawing would have added charm to the bedrooms. Some rooms come with a small terrace, and even though we enjoy breathing in some fresh, do bear in mind that the terraces are very small. Staff is very helpful and attentive. It will certainly be an excellent choice for a peaceful and quiet stay in Milan next to most of the city´s main attractions.
