Located in city center, this luxurious contemporary property is one block away from the Duomo and walking distance to most of the city’s attractions, including fashion Quadrilatero della Moda and the business area. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, we had the same great experience at the the Splendid in Venice and the Inghilterra in Rome, all owned by the same group. Rosa Grand Milano achieves a balance between grandeur and a boutique ambiance, with all the facilities and services expected from large hotels yet a cozy personable boutique atmosphere. The impeccably designed and impressively large rounded lobby takes you to the reception desk. We loved the onsite bar, with its sizable velvet sofas and stools, highly modern motif and design lampshades. Do not miss the delicious small snacks offered to accompany your aperitivo (the Milanese do not live without it), its club sandwich is considered top 10 in the world. There are two excellent dining options, one that serves breakfast and is catered by Eataly, so expect a satisfyingly nourishing start to your day, and a perfect option for dining in on days when you may not feel like leaving the hotel. The property has little natural light or outdoor areas, a good choice for the colder months, but we recommend alternative accommodation should you prefer brighter, more natural spaces. Overall, the bedrooms are quiet, since the hotel overlooks a small piazza, but avoid the first floor since some of them face the inner parts of the hotel. The décor is modern in light shades with colorful details, extremely comfortable beds and pillows. There are family rooms available, which is not very common in this type of hotel. Important: the standard rooms, called Superior, are old style and have not been renovated, so opt for the Deluxe rooms or better
