One of the most traditional of the grand hotels in Milan, the Principe di Savoia is located in a landmark building with an imposing neoclassical façade, overlooking the Piazza Della Repubblica. Old style luxury is its trademark. The hotel has been hosting a faithful and classy clientele in search of elegance and comfort for many years, despite newer splendorous design hotels having flourished in the city. The location is very convenient, and we particularly like its proximity to Indro Montanelli Park, ideal for early morning exercise or simply to admire its historic buildings. It is midway between Milano Centrale and the epicenter of downtown attractions (Duomo, Scala, Pinacoteca Brera and so on), and the hotel has a free limo service for the convenience of guests. Classical furnishings, frescoes, magnificent chandeliers and rich fabrics adorn the extravagant lobby and common areas. Breakfasts served on silver trays at the restaurant with an outdoor terrace are most enjoyable. The indoor swimming pool is an extra bonus and one you do not find easily in Milan. The rooms are good in size and the classic standard rooms are larger than most comparable standard rooms in the city. The extravagant décor is maintained in the bedrooms, with dark wooden furniture, lush carpets, deluxe window drapery and very large marble bathrooms.
