ME Milan Il Duca
The Il Duca is located on Piazza della Repubblica, midway between the city center, where you will find the Duomo and Milano Centrale. It is an ideal location for guests wanting the convenience of being near the station yet still close enough to the city’s attractions (a ten-minute taxi ride can take you either way). We liked the proximity to Indro Montanelli Gardens (used to be called Porta Venezia), a very pleasant park with notable buildings ideally suited for early morning exercise. The hotel’s stylish interior counts on contemporary furniture, design floor lamps and curved concrete walls. Its dining and entertainment options are excellent: a ground floor bar surrounded by plants, a rooftop bar with a DJ and a NY style restaurant serving delicious steaks (we quite enjoyed the berry dessert as well). Rooms are larger than usual in Milan, very comfortable, with relaxing pastel tones of grey and beige, wooden closets and luxurious marble bathrooms. Most rooms have large windows that welcome in natural light, a marvelous touch that guarantees a pleasant stylish stay in Milan.
