Hotel Mansion Tcherassi
Located in the heart of the old city, this colonial mansion has been expertly converted and renovated into a small hotel which stylishly mixes Cartagena’s golden age with modern comforts. The original renovation consisted of only 7 rooms and Tcherassi became so sought after that an extension to a new building was soon built to accommodate demand. Although there are now 42 rooms, the hotel has maintained its chic quaint atmosphere. In-house spaces include the fantastic Italian restaurant Vera, bars and terraces. We particularly loved the terrace with stone and brick arches facing a small decorative pool and a vertical garden. The Spa is also convenient after a day in the sun or back from a boat trip to nearby islands. Bedrooms are spacious, even the standard options, and brightly decorated in light shades, with a predominance of white and neutral beiges contrasted with colorful pictures of Cartagena adorning the walls. If you like having a balcony, book one of the suites. We recommend you stay at the newest part of the hotel if you want to socialize or, for a more romantic or quiet stay, request one of the seven rooms in the original part of the building. But if you want to socialize and stay in a place with more movement we recommend staying in this newer Tcherassi Hotel and Spa.
