When to
Go

Just north of the Equator and by the Caribbean sea, Cartagena averages 28 degrees Celsius year round, guaranteeing a warm (and a bit humid) holiday regardless of when you go. August to November, though, tend to be the steamiest months, with October and November seeing the bulk of the area’s rain. Yet, the sun does shine on Cartagena year round, so do not forget your Panama hat! We recommend you avoid going at Easter. It is an extremely popular time for Colombians to take their holidays in Cartagena, so expect the city, nearby beaches and islands to be busy and hotel prices at their peak.
