We find this hotel to be one of the most charming options for a stay in Geneva, and, in fact, it has become a top rated choice in our preferred list. Les Armures is ideally located within blocks from Lake Geneva and River Rhône, as well as the elegant shopping area in town. It is at the heart of Vieille Ville (Old Town), which brings the extra bonus of allowing you to enjoy the lovely quaint historical part of the city, its picturesque streets, squares and the beautiful Saint Pierre Cathedral. From the outside of the property you already get a feel for the uniqueness of the hotel, which is housed in a 17th Century building proudly boasting a large Swiss flag. The Reception is very small, so the highlight of Les Armures really is the renovated accommodation. Comfort and contemporary elegance is to be enjoyed amidst stonewalls, high ceilings and wooden beams, with lovable decorative objects nicely placed around the bedroom. Some rooms have large windows and the Suites offer King-Size beds and an extra living area. Bathrooms are equally comfortable and elegant, with modern touches. There are many restaurants and cafés nearby, but we recommend you enjoy the café at the hotel. It is amongst some of the oldest establishments in Geneva and famous for its delicious fondues and raclettes (cheese based dishes), to be enjoyed at wintertime, as well as plenty of delicious summertime dishes, which can be served in the agreeable outdoor tables, weather permitting.
