Hôtel Le Saint-Grégoire
At the Hotel Le Saint-Grégoire everything is small and cozy, with a personal feel. This boutique hotel is in a quiet location, walking distance to Saint-Germain-des-Près’s most bustling streets, and with a very convenient subway station just a block away, ideal to explore the whole of Paris. The surrounding area offers a wide array of cafes and bars, and a little further you will get to the best this neighborhood has to offer: Rue de Buci, Rue de Seine, the famous literary cafés on Boulevard Saint-Germain and so on. The hotel’s common areas are tiny and “old style” and the rooms are small, as is standard in Paris. The beds for couples are usually not queen or king size, but full beds. We particularly liked the breakfast, served in the (small) wine cellar the day we visited. The friendly staff told us guests tend to particularly enjoy it. This hotel has a good value for a four star hotel in the center of Paris, even though we suggest it feels more like a “three star plus” type of hotel.
