Hotel Beau Rivage

A stay at lakeside Hotel Beau Rivage will be full of grandeur. This historical and refined palace hotel is one of the few in the country still owned by a traditional family who has proudly been running it for five generations. Old style luxury defines its classic décor, with abundantly glamorous details with hints of Rococo. Marble columns, stained glass, crystal chandeliers, high quality carpets and top notch upholstery adorn the common areas and stunning lobby, which has a patio and fountain. This grand building has been testimony to many significant historical events, such as Eleanor Roosevelt signing the Human Rights Declaration, the signing of the Czech Constitution and its many glamorous habitués such as Empress Sissi. Gastronomy is also a highlight at Hotel Beau Rivage. One of the restaurants has a Michelin star, Le Chat Botté, and the hotel also houses a lovely Thai restaurant called La Patara. We found the bedrooms to be in keeping with the building´s splendor and simply amazing. They were the largest rooms in town, with extremely comfortable beds and very large bathrooms. If possible, request one of the suites, especially ones on the corner of the building. The magnificent views include Lake Geneva, the city’s landmark Jet d’Eau and snowcapped Montblanc in the distance. Hotel Beau Rivage is the perfect option for distinctive travelers who favor luxurious, historical and iconic properties.
