Before getting into the property details, it is worth mentioning that there are no words to describe the sheer beauty of the views from Caldera Premium Villas. Oia does charge travelers a fortune, given its privileged location in the most sought after Santorini area, yet this is probably one of the best cost vs benefit properties in the region. The room rates are by no means cheap, however, despite it being the simplest of all the luxury properties that surround it. Please note the property is hard to reach, as it is right in the middle of the cliff, but someone will greet you on the main road to assist with the luggage. We had a lovely stay in this tiny hotel, in a cave style room, the darling of social media bloggers. Simple yet nicely decorated, with private balconies, or shared with two or three other rooms. The unconventional wardrobes have no drawers, but this was not a huge inconvenience. The Caldera Villas has a small pool, perfectly suitable to cool off after sightseeing on the island. The staff is excellent, but the breakfast left a little to be desired. Advanced payment, made at a small office a few blocks away from the hotel, is required on certain occasions. The location really is ideal. After climbing the many steep steps, you’ll arrive at Oia’s main street, the most sought after in Santorini, as well as the best shops and restaurants. Indulge in as many photographic moments as you please and take your time registering the scenery. The Santorini views from the balconies and outdoor seating areas at the Caldera will undoubtedly stay with you forever.
