Initially we booked this art tour slightly desperately as it was virtually impossible to get tickets to see Da Vinci’s Last Supper at the Cenacolo Vinciano. Well, we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the tour, not only for the interesting explanations of the painting itself (it starts with Da Vinci and even mentions some conspiracy theories discussed in Dan Brown´s best-selling book), but the entire tour is super interesting as well. Ours was with www.veditalia.com with a very competent and friendly guide named Charles. After Da Vinci, the tour took us to the stunning San Maurizio church, the “Sistine Chapel” of Milan, and other art monuments and points of interest. We saw The Finger in front of the Milan Stock Exchange, some ancient roman ruins (and learned interesting facts which explain why there are less roman ruins in Milan than in other Italian cities), and so on. Two hours of pleasurable learning and entertainment, highly recommended.
