Obicà Mozzarela Bar

This is no longer a truly local Milanese restaurant, or even local Italian, since expanding abroad. Yet, for a good Italian meal served in an unpretentious ambience, contemporary design and friendly atmosphere, Obicà is always a good choice. The menu´s main ingredient is mozzarella and its many variations and origins. You also have a selection of pastas, pizzas and amazing cheese and prosciutto boards, all to be paired with some delightful Italian wine. There are two branches in Milan: one at the Rinascente Galleries (great views of the Duomo) and another in Brera. We have been to both and quite liked them, equally, although service at the Rinascente department store could be more courteous and attentive. We tried cheese and prosciutto boards, mozzarella salads, gnocchis and other pastas with mozzarella (they have other options but mozzarella is the pièce de résistance!). It was a good experience, which matched our vibe, since we were not in the mood to dress up and go for a fancy meal.
