Il Gabbiano

If you are looking for a fine Italian restaurant in the downtown and Brickell region, this is the one. Gabbiano has become quite traditional, it is well-known and food is excellent. Try to get a table outside, most pleasant when the temperature is mild (and as long as it is not windy). Every time we are in Miami we book a table at Il  Gabbiano to try something new on the menu. We highly recommend the burrata (a creamy mozzarella), the calamaris (deep fried squids), or carciofinis (small artichokes), any of the pasta dishes and the branzino, all delicious and very satisfying. For dessert, skip the cheesecake and go with the light zabaglione or the delicious tiramisu, which will surely satisfy those favoring sweet options. Some of our suggested hotels, like the EAST or the Mandarin, are very close to Gabbiano, o don’t miss it!
