Native ingredients have also become a must-try, as contemporary chefs like to experiment and mix them with more traditional dishes. Arepas, a cornbread filled with cheese and eggs, will be easily found, as will tamales made with corn dough, or empanadas. More elaborate dishes could include a seafood stew called cazuela. The restaurant scene also has a wide array of international cuisines, so take your pick. And, when in the land that produces what is considered to be one of the best beans in the world, do enjoy a few cups of Colombian coffee.
