The Circus

Located right on Rosenthaler Platz and a fifteen minute walk to Museum Island, this is an interesting property which attracts a hip, cool and young crowd. There is a charming cheerfully decorated lobby, and a café and restaurant which are open to the public, as are the communal tables and bookshelves. Some days it has live music or DJs late in the afternoon, so if you are looking for a very quiet stay perhaps consider one of our other suggestions. We were particularly touched by the building’s history, which used to be home to a family who lost everything in the war. The hotel’s management took great care in preserving the family’s history and paying homage to it in a display room at the bottom of the property. Rooms are very small, modern and with an artsy décor and lively colors. Check the room and bed sizes ahead of booking and consider a suite, should space be an issue. Careful not to check into the hostel with the exact same name on Rosenthaler Platz!
