We consider this boutique hotel one of the best options for a stay in Bologna. Located on a small street just off Via Independenza, which will take you to basically all attractions in the city, the Metropolitan is walking distance to all the great spots you will likely intend to visit, as well as eating venues, bars, theaters and shops. A trendy atmosphere and fashionable ambience can be enjoyed throughout its premises. Rooms are modern and follow a minimalistic furniture and color scheme, with generous proportions, including the smaller rooms, and all bathrooms. There are family rooms available as well. Even though the street is “pedestrian only”, do ask for a room in the back should you be noise sensitive, as Italian streets tend to echo the quietest conversations. However, if it is not possible, do not worry as our room was front facing and we had perfectly relaxing nights. As most hotels in town, the Metropolitan offers an aperitivo in late afternoon, which we considered to be quite pleasing. In summertime, there is has a lovely rooftop with views to the city’s typical red roofs and surrounding hills. The very courteous and helpful staff made our stay even more pleasant.
