Horse riding in Hyde Park
There are many things to do in this magnificent park: go boating on The Serpentine, go for a bike ride and admire the rose gardens, beautiful memorials and fountains, have a picnic with typical cucumber sandwiches and prawn cocktail chips, play Frisbee, and so on. Yet, what we find truly amazing is a horse ride on the bridleways, which would leave you feeling like a character in a Jane Austen book. Breathe in the fresh air, ride along the pond, check out the English gardens and if you feel like taking it up a notch book some horse riding lessons at the Hyde Park Stables. They take complete beginners to experienced riders and organize both private and group ridings. The stables are open seven days a week, come rain or come shine, but take a look at the site before heading there. And, before leaving the park, go check if there is anything going on at the iconic Speaker’s Corner, a traditional site for public protest and debates, where you will often find people discussing a wide array of subjects.
