Georgetown

This lovely and quaint historical neighborhood is our favorite part of Washington DC. We have been to the US capital many times and often choose to stay here for a more laid-back experience, away from the hustle and bustle of The Mall. Georgetown has taken advantage of its historic heritage and kept its allure, with its cobblestone streets, beautiful mansions and colorful brick houses. Enjoy a walk or jog along the C&O Canal (Chesapeake and Ohio Canal) and the Waterfront Park (by Potomac River), window shopping on M Street and Wisconsin Avenue, sampling delicious cupcakes at Baked and Wired (locals love it), visiting the magnificent buildings of renowned Georgetown University, trying the many excellent restaurants (check our Eat & Drink) and finish in style listening to jazz at the iconic Blues Alley, host to many notorious jazz legends and artists. If you don´t stay in Georgetown, make it a whole day visit, at the very least!
