Freedom Trail

Boston is a city that breathes the history of the United States Independence, and walking along the famous historical landmarks is of course a must. The Freedom Trail, easily identified by following the various markings on the sidewalks, runs through sites you’ll recognize as references in history books and pictures. The trail starts near the Tourist Office in Boston Common and covers important churches and chapels, cemeteries where emblematic characters are buried, goes past Independence activist Paul Revere’s home and reaches the old 18th Century vessel the USS Constitution. You can walk at your own pace or book guided tours. The trail around Paul Revere’s home or Old North Church is within the Little Italy region of Boston, an immigrant neighborhood with restaurants and shops with an authentic Italian feel. Plan your day so you have some time to enjoy a lovely meal in the region, or just a coffee and canoli in one of the pasticcerie.
