Architecture walk
One of the most iconic things about Barcelona is its outstanding, groundbreaking architecture and breathtaking buildings scattered around the city. Surely magnificent, the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell should be on your list, but don’t miss other amazing projects by Gaudi like Casa Milà (or La Pedrera), Casa Batllò or Casa Vicens, the first house designed by Gaudi that will open to the public soon. And, although Gaudi is the most iconic architect, many other geniuses of architecture hail from the region as well, such as Lluis Domenech i Montaner (responsible for the stunning Palau de la Musica Catalana) and Puig i Cadafalch (Casa Lleó). Your party can fly solo with a guide in hand or try some of the organized walks by BAW. Professional architects guide you through the city’s streets and buildings, and there are many different kind of walking tours on offer for your selection. Most give external overviews of the buildings only, unless there are particularly worthy architectural highlights to be admired in the interior. If you want a more tailored experience, we recommend booking a private guided visit with an architect. Your hotel’s Concierge will be able to help find the perfect guide to your match your priorities. It is no wonder Barcelona is proud of its many Unesco Heritage Sites and an architecture walk is really something not to be missed.
