Vincent

After many days eating moules and fish “a la meunière” we were really craving some meat, so off we went to Vincent, the restaurant recommend for good meat. Surprisingly, it is conveniently located near the Grand Place. If possible ask for a table outside, but only if you do not mind facing the restaurant’s windows with cuts of fresh meat on display. The main room indoors is quite pleasant as well, with old style tables, wooden chairs and colorful tiles on walls. Even though the restaurant also offers typical Belgium dishes, all our attention was focused on the meat dishes. And so we ordered: entrecote and tenderloin were the choices, served with fries, and poivre and béarnaise sauces. No fuss, simple and very good. There were other options available, like rump steak and matured meat, and the table next to us had a chateaubriand that made us wonder whether we should return a day later. The desserts list was the most tempting we saw in town, but we had a day full of waffles at Dandoy and chocolates at Mary, so it ended up being a “no-desserts-thank-you” evening!
