The modest discrete exterior does not hint at this being one of the best Italian restaurants in town, frequented by celebrities and politicians. Just blocks away from the White House, the interior is elegant, in neutral colors, and the service is impeccable. The food is outstanding. We have been there many times and were never disappointed. More than once we had the delicious tuna carpaccio, many of the pastas (the mezzelune with mushrooms or ravioli del plin are in our top list), and the perfectly grilled veal chops or NY strip. This is a refined restaurant suited for special occasions, so wear your glad rags and enjoy!
