Pizzaria Bráz

Paulistanos (natives of São Paulo) are pizza lovers with high standards, and you will often hear them say that the pizza in São Paulo is even better than the one in Italy. There are several outstanding Pizzarias around town, but Braz has been around for 20 years, since opening its first unit. The house is always at full occupancy and there are now several branches around town. The secret lies in its classic firewood ovens, dough made with the highest quality flour and tomato sauce brought in from Naples, which perfectly balances sweetness and tartness. If you are quite hungry or with a larger party, do order the sausage bread for starters. The soft dough is uniquely delectable and melts in your mouth. The traditional Margherita (cheese and tomato) pizza is excellent, as is the zucchini and garlic pizza, but do try the four cheese one. There are many other toppings to choose from, so, when in São Paulo do as the Paulistanos and order each half of the pizza in a different flavor so you can savor a few!
