La Chapelle

Located in the City, near Spitalfields market, this proper French restaurant has been considered the best of its kind in town and has been awarded many accolades. We can attest to it being truly excellent. Housed in a parish hall, as the name suggest, as you step in you will likely be immediately struck by its unique ambiance. The food is indeed quite good and the service impeccable. In our many visits, we found the highlights to be the cured salmon or the tuna tartare as starters, the chateaubriand or red mullet for main course. We suggest you skip the English pea risotto as it was just not as impressive as other dishes we tried. And, please, absolutely do not miss the apple tarte tatin for dessert. It was the best we ever tasted, and has served as an excuse for us to return to La Chapelle on many occasions.
