Diana

Conveniently located in the heart of the old city center, Diana is a very traditional Italian restaurant in Bologna, truly old style in its décor and service, with waiters serving the same clients for decades in their white jackets. The food is considered very good and traditional, there are no mousses, spheres or any sort of modern dishes to be found. The good-old tagliolini in brodo is very well known at Diana, and were we not lucky to have tagliatelle with black truffles as one of the “piatti del giorno”! We were a bit disappointed with the vitello tonnato (sliced veal with a mayonnaise-like sauce), so we recommend you skip it, as well as the bread that we found a bit stiff and dry. Focus your calorie expenditure on the many other good dishes on the menu, and check the tempting dessert cart for some sweet treats.
