Cecconi’s
A see-and-be-seen kind of venue, this is an elegant and upscale restaurant in one of London’s most affluent neighborhoods – Mayfair. In some ways, the quintessential décor in itself, with black and white floors, green chairs and mirror walls, somewhat justifies the long lines for a table. The long lines are also found in other branches of Cecconi’s around the world (we loved the one in Miami and cannot wait to try the one recently opened in New York, and tell you all about it afterwards). To make the wait more pleasurable, enjoy some drinks in the lively wooden bar indoors. It turns out the food at Cecconi’s is truly first class as well. The eggplant parmigiana is to die for, the burrata as soft as it can get and most dishes are delicious. We loved the squash and butter ravioli, despite it not being a unanimous pasta choice. It is always crowded, so be sure to book a table in advance.
