Argo is located in Fira’s small town center, a bustling tourist spot, although considerably less trendy and busy than Oia. Argo may not be worth a trip across the island for itself, but, as it is located in the very middle of Santorini, it is a good choice if you are passing through and would like a nice meal. The food is good, yet the service is excellent, attentive and gracious. The tables on the upstairs area have a nice view of the town center. The menu is largely Mediterranean but some international dishes can be found. The seafood selection is very typically Greek, such as a huge variety of squid and octopus dishes, as well as nicely grilled good quality meat cuts. We left little to creativity on this day and went for a Greek salad, with plenty of fetta cheese and olives, as well as really delicious grilled fish. We skipped dessert and picked up a lovely ice cream cone as we strolled around town.
