Tatte
Tatte serves salads, tartines and delicious sandwiches, as well as a few dishes. A popular choice, the tables are always full, not only for the excellent food, but for the venue itself which is modern with a joyous vibe. With Middle Eastern touches aplenty, this restaurant/cafe serves shakshoukas, a popular choice in big cities, small pans served with eggs, tomato sauce and other ingredients. The bread is the typical Jewish challah, the sandwiches have some labneh and the tempting meat kebabs are served on skewers. The braised short rib sandwich is the house favorite and had us coming back to Tatte a few times. There are also amazing desserts, if you like your sweets. You can also stop by Tatte just to grab a coffee, pastry or event for take out bread. There is more than one branch in town, we visited two: our favorite in Back Bay and one in downtown on Washington Street.
