Da Felice

In our last long stay in Rome we decided to try Da Felice. Expectations were high so we made reservations for the last night, so as not to spoil other meals with comparisons. And we were right. The best Cacio e Pepe of our lives, fantastic roasted lamb with potatoes, lightly baked aubergine, Spaghetti alla Felice with tomatoes and perfectly cooked ricotta. For dessert, we tried the semifreddo, simply delicious. There is tiramisu, reputedly the best in town (we would not bet against that!) and other options in the menu. The ambience at Da Felice is modern with brick walls, black lamps, tiled floors and it is located in the Testaccio neighborhood, a 10 min taxi drive from the historical city center. Take the opportunity and stroll around the area, a residential and less touristic part of town. One of the best meals in Rome, as simple as that. Make reservations in advance, so you will not be disappointed.
