Le Senat

Le Senat is located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés right across the street from Jardin Luxembourg, it is a perfect pick if you enjoy walking around (in this case wonderful) gardens or exercising in fresh air. The building is quite old yet has been recently renovated to become a very pleasant venue for a relaxed stay in town. The reception and lobby areas are nice with a modern feel and some design furniture. Breakfast is served in lower level room and there is room service available. There is no full time restaurant in-house, but around the corner you will find an Indonesian restaurant, a typical French bistro and a great cheese and wine bar. Rooms are really rather small, as are the bathrooms, but you can ask for a room in the corner facing the building’s interiors, they are larger and in the same category (same rates). You can also choose a suite facing the street and with a terrace if space is an issue. The staff is very helpful and has a special affection for the Saint Germain neighborhood, making for a very pleasant stay! A metro station is just three blocks away in case you want to explore other parts of town. Are you wondering why the hotel is called “Senate” in the local language? That’s because the Senate’s building is right around the corner, a beautiful site at the Luxembourg Gardens.
