Le Dixseptième

This charming historic landmark, which was once a former ambassador’s home among other illustrious inhabitants, is just blocks away from the Grand Place and right by the imposing covered galleries of De la Reine and Saint Hubert. The small hotel has likeable common areas on ground floor, that somehow make you feel like you are in your own home’s living room. A tiny patio with flowers and a small reading room will provide for some quietness away from the busy streets of Brussels. The protected building also contains many beautiful historic features, such as the hotel’s staircase. Rooms are gorgeous, almost classic and surprisingly larger than what you would expect from a city center hotel. Comfortable and decorated in relaxing neutral tones, with details like beautiful cushions and curtains, the bedrooms charmingly carry the names of artists instead of numbers to identify them. If you fancy open air and green views try one of the suites facing the garden. Make sure you ask for rooms in the main building and not in the annex. Staff could be just a little more gentle, but are adequately efficient and helpful.
