Bela Vista

To put it simply, we had a truly unforgettable stay in this enchanting hotel. Some of the charming features of this quintessentially aristocratic Portuguese mansion include wooden staircases, typical Portuguese tiled walls, a grand piano and sea views from practically every angle, including the bathroom shower. The attentive staff share with their guests interesting stories of previous owners, such as a countess who loved to host parties. Also charming are the piano in the beautiful lobby, the quaint hotel bar, and the delicious generously portioned breakfast served over sea views. The fantastic swimming pool brings the final touch of class, as it hangs temptingly over the Praia da Rocha cliffs, alluring guests for a refreshing swim and cool relaxation under the shade of its palm trees. Bela Vista is also strategically positioned right in the middle of the Southern Algarve region and a twenty minute walk to amazing beaches. The most sought after sites in the region, like Ponta da Piedade or the highest coastal rock formations in Sagres, are a forty-five minute drive away. Bela Vista is also home to a Michelin starred restaurant, one of the best meals we savored in the Algarve. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, in hues of blue, yellow and white, and the bathroom is generously sized. Choose a room in the main building if you’d like to experience the typically charming Portuguese hospitality and request a room with sea views. We had room 112 and even the bathroom had vast deep blue sea views, highly memorable indeed.
