When to
Go

Winter is usually cold and you can get quite a lot of snow, but the city has beautiful and characteristically extensive porticoes and covered sidewalks, so it is quite easy to move around even in wintertime. If you don’t mind the cold, hotel rates are usually at the lowest point this season. Spring is lovely and you can gaze not only at blossoming flowers but some cherry trees as well, people enjoy the piazzas and the city blooms. Autumn starts to get chilly, remember it is northern Italy… And of course summer is high season and hot, but not as hot as some other popular southern Italian destinations.
